LET'S CAMOUFLAGE 'THE RUINS'

10:06

Hello peeps, writing this blog on a not so famous 150 year old church that I discovered on my last weekend called as 'Shettihalli Rosary Church'. The place is in Karnataka district about 200kms from Bengaluru. The interesting part comes now, this place is famous to discover the ruins of its beautiful Gothic architecture. It also falls in the list of 10 mysterious places of Karnataka. I thought of discovering the mystery on my own.

I was travelling from Bangalore to Sakleshpur, when I reached Hassan I took a detour for 15 kms to this beautiful place lying in the mid of the valley. Yes, I am calling it beautiful because it is located far off from the main hustle bustle of the city surrounded by the green country side view. The view is scenic because the church is located on the water bank which gets totally submerged in water after monsoons and rises henceforth. I went in May month and therefore witnessed the rised beauty as visible in the pictures.

Now moving to the church history, around 150 years ago due to massive flow of water thrown by nearby Hemavati Dam and reservoir led to the abandonment of the church. And now what is left is just the remains of it. But the site is pure beauty. It is ruined but in a very beautiful way. The french arcs speaks volume of the ancient age church.

As a traveler I thought nothing better than wearing a tee styled camouflage dress. The dress is from Zara. Being hot, the dress kept me cool in its cotton fabric. I chose to wear a pink choker to match with the message written over the dress. The single toe and ankle strap flats are from Westside stores. The dark sunglasses are from Rayban.

It was an ideal place for photoshoot and hope you all also enjoyed watching the pictures as much as I enjoyed being clicked there.

Overall, a great visit and I would recommend all the photographers to explore the beauty themselves. See you in next blog, untill then stay fit, stay in swatitude. Loads of love.
